Wodhil Gold can gain another course-and-distance success at the expense of Vancouver Gold, Paso Doble and Picador to name just a few. The final race on the card is by no means the easiest to work out, so only a tentative vote goes to Wodhil Gold who has started the new year in good form, finishing second here before going one better a fortnight ago. The improvement has coincided with the six-year-old being teamed with Hayley Turner, and there should be more to come before the handicapper takes note. Vancouver Gold was having her first outing since April when a staying on third over seven furlongs here recently, and she also has to be on the short-list along with Paso Doble. The latter absolutely loves it round here and although fully exposed, lines up fit and in form. Any support for Picador should be noted, as it should for Astronomical Odds, while the likes of Anduril and Golden Alchemist are others with place claims. All in all it is a tough one to call, with Wodhil Gold the pick to small stakes.
