Verdict

Kate Appleby Shoes won a Grade 3 hurdle in March and made a successful debut over fences at Limerick last month on extremely testing ground. She was left in front when a rival fell two out but would have won anyway and looks a decent stayer for the yard. DINARIA DES OBEAUX did very well to win her first two races over fences as she was only a four-year-old. She had Miss Eyecatcher 22l behind in a Clonmel Grade 3 and then ran with great credit in a Grade 1 at Fairyhouse before being badly impeded at Leopardstown. This is her grade for now and she still has an age allowance so can get back to winning ways. Magic Of Light fell in that Clonmel event when still in touch but was then put in her place by Youcantcallherthat at Fairyhouse and the winner has been well beaten in a handicap subsequently.
