Verdict

This is not the best novice hurdle and preference is for WADE FARM WILLY, while Musical Weld, Give Me A Chance and Definate Style are all worthy of respect. The selection sets the standard having performed well in defeat in all of his last three runs. He finished a good fourth to Rampant Ronnie at Plumpton last time out and a repeat performance will see him difficult to beat. Musical Weld caught the eye over course and distance when finishing third to Tooka last time out. That run was a personal best as he had struggled to show much ability prior to that at some big prices. He is still only lightly raced and it could be the fact that he is improving with experience and if he does improve again he will not be far away come the business end of the race. Definate Style ran below par in a more competitive novice hurdle at Haydock last November. He finished eleventh of sixteen that day but the race has panned out well with the winner Fredo scoring again since. This is a big drop in grade and he is worth noting in the betting market as a result. Give Me A Chance is having his third run of his career having shown little in his two previous outings. His trainer is in form but he maybe looking for a lenient handicap mark after this run so is possible best watched. A poor race to open the card and Wade Farm Willy only has to repeat his recent performance to score.
