Verdict

Brian Ellison has set his stall out to win this and should do so via ADMIRAL HAWKE, who can see off the attentions of stablemate Lucky Cody. It's a surprise that he's still a maiden after three placed efforts when trained in Ireland and though absent since New Year's Day he should be ready to get off the mark. Lucky Cody has a fitness advantage having produced his best run over hurdles at Hexham last month while Spencer Moon should be capable of landing a little race somewhere this campaign. Gran Maestro, three times a winner on the level, is just the type his yard does well with so he's one to note on his hurdling debut.
