Verdict

Beeves had already won a point-to-point and a bumper prior to landing the odds on his hurdles bow over 2m6f at Sedgefield in May. He should continue on an upward curve but is conceding 7lb here to some equally promising types. African Gold found only the useful Ballybough Pat, second in a Grade 2 next time, too strong at Carlisle and Rojo Vivo ran the smart Knock A Hand to three lengths at Chepstow on his hurdling debut, though disappointed at the same track last December and hasn't been seen since. Mist The Boat had fair form in bumpers in the spring but the interesting one may be MR WATSON, who has won between the flags and ran a cracker on his debut under Rules when third in the Fairyhouse Champion Point-To-Point Bumper. The winner and second that day have already scored over hurdles so the form looks solid and he changed hands for decent money at the Cheltenham Sales in April.
