Verdict

SONORAN SANDS has been raised 7lb for winning a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon last time but is on the upgrade and can follow-up with Tony McCoy taking over the reins. Turbo Du Ranch gets first-time blinkers after finishing second at Fontwell and he can figure if they have the desired effect, while Chance Encounter was a well beaten runner-up here on his hurdling bow but should finish closer with that experience under his belt. The remainder have plenty to find on what they've shown to date with Uncle Johnny possibly the best of them.
