John Potts, Weetfromthechaff and Weet By Far are the three to focus on here with Weetfromthechaff the tentative selection in a race where the form is extremely thin. John Potts has good experience at the track and ran his bestrace to date when a staying on fourth, not beaten far. If he improves again, and he runs off the same mark here, he can go close. Weet By Far has been running reasonably well in auction maiden contests recently and was third when last in ahandicap. He runs off a three pound higher mark here and may need to come down a few pounds before winning. After a decent fourth in a Southwell claimer on Tuesday, Weetfromthechaff has claims here on the strength of his last handicap attempt, when filling the same position at this track.
