      Verdict

Not many trainers have as good a strike-rate anywhere in the country as Sir Mark Prescott has here on a Saturday night so it seems folly to oppose Spectait as he bids to get off the mark at the third time of asking. Jazrawy and War Pennant are others to throw into the mix if the price on the selection becomes too restricting, while High card was far from disgraced on his debut and could be the one for each-way players to get stuck into. However, Spectait was never going to be suited by the drop to six furlongs last time and is much better judged on his debut run at Chepstow. This extended mile is more in keeping with the traits of his pedigree and Spectait can deliver the goods tonight; even though he is unlikely to be available at much larger odds than evens if there is stable confidence to back up his claims.
