    Verdict

A good handicap and Scamperdale is the marginal preference ahead of Confidentiality and Mataram. Scamperdale accounted for the useful Abbondanza at the track at the beginning of the month in some style and on that evidence, there appeared to be much more to come. A rise of just 3lb should not be enough to stop him. Confidentiality has proved a revelation for the Michael Wigham yard. A six race winning streak commenced off a mark of 48 and the assessor asks her to repeat the task off 82 this afternoon. Mataram seems to do the majority of running at Lingfield Park these days so the market is watched to see if he can show improvement here. Freeloader hasn't been seen since finishing second in the Galway Hurdle. Tufton is a reasonable plater on his day. Pearl makes a debut for Ian Wood having been claimed out of Willie Haggas' yard for ¿14000 in a Kempton claimer. Gloucester switches back to the flat after a couple of sighters over hurdles. Scamperdale might not have finished his winning and it can pay to be with him on this occasion.
