Sir Lancelott beat Dove Mountain a neck over a shorter trip here recently but Mount Cheiron and Amor Invicto were also in close attendance, though Sheer Intensity was further behind. It’s too close call between the above and Mount Cheiron was due to run at Newcastle yesterday. Vision Of Beauty struggled on the Fibresand at Southwell last time but was placed here before that and makes her handicap debut while PERCY VERENCE folded tamely in the closing stages when stepped up in class at Newcastle. But the latter had gone close in this grade on a couple of occasions before that and gets the nod racing off a similar mark in this.
