TAKAAMUL hasn't been seen since winning this contest a year ago but it seems significant that he reappears in this race; Oh So Saucy joins Sairaam and Crystallize on the list of dangers. Kevin Morgan's gelding won by a neck last year and is only 2lbs higher in the handicap for this return. The ground is in his favour and he can enhance an already strong course record. Cardinal is consistent and ran fairly well here last time out however he finds it hard to win, Orangeleg is 8lbs higher than his last winning mark but his penultimate run at Redcar suggests he is still fairly treated, whilst Crystallize is a course and distance winner and his run for this jockey behind Kipchak is fair form for this grade. Sairaam takes in an easier race than at Sandown last time and her record here is solid, whilst Oh So Saucy is another course regular and she is now 3lbs lower than her last winning mark. She makes plenty of appeal after a mini-break however the verdict goes the way of Takaamul.
