    Verdict

EKHTIYAAR didn't quite get the run of the race when runner-up here on his debut and the winner ran well in a strong nursery at York on Friday so he should go one better. Kingofmerrows makes a very quick reappearance after just failing to catch Carlton Frankie in a 5f York maiden, also on Friday, and is an obvious threat with the extra furlong certain to suit. Secret Agent showed the benefit of his opening run with a much better effort at Haydock and there should be more improvement in him while John Ryan's pair Verdi and Rachmaninoff both have plenty of winners in their pedigrees.
