Wolves sign Mexico striker Raul Jimenez on loan from Benfica

Wolves have signed Benfica and Mexico striker Raul Jimenez on loan for the 2018/19 season, subject to international clearance and a work permit.

The 27-year-old - who is part of his country's World Cup squad in Russia - becomes Nuno Espirito Santo's first new signing of the summer as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.

Jimenez has scored 14 goals in 62 appearances for Mexico and will be hoping to add to his tally in Russia this summer.

He had a spell in La Liga with Atletico Madrid after moving from Club America in his native country before joining Benfica in July 2015.

In total, Jimenez has played 120 times for Benfica and scored 31 goals and helped them win last season's Portuguese title.
