Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa has submitted a formal transfer request, Sky sources understand.

Sky Sports News HQ reported earlier this week that the Argentinian was considering making a transfer request and had received interest from Spanish side Alaves.

Alaves' offer for the 30-year-old is the only concrete offer on the table at the moment, but it falls some way short of Leicester's valuation of a player they signed for £8m from Brighton in 2014.

Claudio Ranieri wants to keep Ulloa and the club was prepared to offer him a new deal, with his current contract having 18 months remaining.

But Ulloa has decided his future lies away from King Power Stadium, whatever offer comes back, after making only one Premier League start so far this season.
