Sullay Kaikai (Crystal Palace - on loan at Shrewsbury)
The exciting 20-year-old winger has impressed during his four-month loan at Shrewsbury, who currently sit in the bottom half of League One, and he has been named the PFA Fan's Player of the Month for October.
Crystal Palace's development player of the year last season already has four goals in just eight appearances for Shrewsbury - all coming in October and two in a 4-2 win against Colchester.
Kaikai has one goal less than he scored for his entire season playing on the wing at Cambridge United last season, and with a host of talented wingers such as Yannick Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha in front of Kaikai already at Crystal Palace, perhaps his current form could catch the eye of Alan Pardew.
Jed Steer (Aston Villa - on loan at Huddersfield Town)
Huddersfield kept clean sheets for three consecutive matches in October, with Aston Villa loanee Jed Steer partly to thank in goal.
Steer has pulled off a number of crucial saves since joining the club in September but seems to have really settled in during October, putting in a man of the match display against Derby County as well as producing strong showings against MK Dons and Ipswich.
Initially joining on an emergency loan in October, Steer's spell was extended to November 11, and after showing strongly in nine appearances, Huddersfield may wish to extend his deal further.
"Jed has done well for us," manager Chris Powell said of the 22-year-old. "He keeps his concentration and marshals his defence well. And like all good goalkeepers, he's willing to do whatever it takes, and use whatever part of his body is needed to make a save."
Alex Gilliead (Newcastle United - on loan at Carlisle)
Two goals in October make the young Newcastle forward one to watch out for. The 19-year-old is known for his pace and skill on the ball, but in the first loan move of his career Gillead has shown an ability to finish with composure.
The England U20s winger scored the sole winning goal against Exeter City on October 17 before scoring another against Northampton the following Tuesday.
Gillead said in September that he was targeting the first team after his loan move to Coventry was completed.
He said: "I'm hoping that if I really show what I can do then I could maybe force my way into the first-team squad - that is my main aim for the season."
George Evans (Manchester City - on loan at Walsall)
George Evans has played a prominent role in holding midfield role for Walsall. For Manchester City, Evans holds the record as the only player to star for every age group at Manchester City following his senior debut against Sunderland in the Capital One Cup in September.
The highly-rated 20-year-old has continued his progress by joining the League One outfit on October 20, striking one of his two goals last month on his first day against Barnsley in a 2-0 win - a low finish from inside a congested 18-yard box.
Walsall manager Dean Smith needed a replacement in midfield after losing Sam Mantom to an ankle injury, and Evans has shone in his absence.
Adam Armstrong (Newcastle United - on loan at Coventry)
Armstrong has already featured in 'Loan Watch' back in August but an impressive run that shows no sign of slowing means he's top scorer in League One.
All four of his October strikes came in braces at the start and end of the month, his double against Peterborough helping to secure a 3-2 comeback win.
For the winner, Armstrong received the ball in the area before performing a flick around a defender and smashing his shot past the goalkeeper.
Armstrong finished the month on 10 goals in 13 appearances for Coventry - and then kicked off the new month with a double in a 4-3 over Barnsley.
