Which are the most credible Manchester United transfer rumours right now?

Sky Sports has teamed up with Football Whispers to bring you the most up to date transfer talk as Jose Mourinho looks to improve his squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

Football Whispers have developed a unique algorithm to take all of the transfer rumours from across the globe and calculate the likelihood of them happening.

They track transfer stories and give them a score out of 5.0, with the hottest Whispers closest to 5.0.

1. Paul Pogba (Juventus) - 4.0

After Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirmed his move to United, Pogba rises up the list list as rumours continue to circulate claiming the player could be on his way back to Old Trafford next season.

Whispers linking the Juventus midfielder with a return to the Red Devils have intensified after reports newly-appointed United boss Mourinho was eager to land a summer signing and United were willing to match any offer Real Madrid could make.

The mercurial 23-year-old was allowed to leave United for Italy back in 2012 and would attract a hefty fee for Juve if they decided to cash in.

2. Raphael Varane (Real Madrid) - 3.1

With Henrikh Mkhitaryan all but confirmed as a Manchester United player, it's Rapahel Varane who takes second spot in the Football Whispers list with France teammate Pogba moving to the summit.

Mourinho was the man who signed the defender at Real Madrid during his tenure at the club and is still said to be an admirer of Varane, although he did sign a new six-year deal with the Spanish giants in September 2014.

3. Julian Draxler (Wolfsburg) - 2.2

The odds on Draxler joining United have been slashed in recent days as speculation continues to mount about the Germany international's future at Wolfsburg.

As such, the player - who is contracted to the Bundesliga club until the summer of 2020 - stays in the top three United rumours.
