The transfer of Hearts striker Juanma to Beveren is set to be completed on Monday, according to Sky sources.

It is understood the Spaniard, who still has two years on his current contract at Hearts, began negotiations with the Belgian club earlier this week.

The 25-year-old was Hearts' top scorer last season, having netted 12 goals in 28 appearances in the Scottish Premiership.

This season, Juanma has been unable to command a regular place, with Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson admitting the forward's work rate was lacking.

Waasland-Beveren are currently second from bottom of the Pro League after failing to win any of their opening three league matches, and are in pole position to secure the striker.

His career began with Jove Espanol, followed by short spells at Denia and Alaves. He then signed for Greek side Asteras Tripoli before joining Kalloni the year afterwards.
