Ivan Cavaleiro has joined Wolves for a club record transfer fee, reported to be around £7m.

The Portuguese forward joins from French side Monaco on a five-year deal.

The fee eclipses the £6.5m paid out for both Kevin Doyle and Steven Fletcher who moved to Wolves in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

Cavaleiro's arrival in the Midlands takes the Molineux club's spending this summer to beyond £14m.

The 22-year-old cost Monaco £13m when he joined from Benfica less than 14 months ago.

He has won two caps for Portugal but struggled to hold down a place in the Monaco side for whom he made just 12 league appearances last season.
