Jack Wilshere has vowed to "prove everyone wrong" and show he can stay injury free during his time at Bournemouth.
The England midfielder left Arsenal for Bournemouth on a season-long loan before last month's deadline after Arsene Wenger would not guarantee him immediate playing time.
Injuries restricted Wilshere to three Gunners appearances last season and kept him out for five months of the previous campaign, and Wenger wants the "world-class" 24-year-old to "get back to a competitive level" during his time on the south coast.
Saturday was a start as Wilshere played the final 27 minutes of his new side's 1-0 win over West Brom, and he told the club website: "It was good to come on for my first minutes and get used to the way that the boys play. It's similar to the way I am used to playing at Arsenal - I can fit into this team, I think.
"I came on in the number 10 position and then moved to the right for the team. I can do that role and I can also play deeper. I am comfortable in all of those positions. Different games bring different problems, so we will see.
"The biggest aim for me, and I am sure everyone is aware of it, is to get as many games as possible. That was the idea coming here.
"If there's any question mark over me I know it's my fitness. So hopefully I can play as many games as possible, prove everyone wrong and re-kick my career."
Callum Wilson's late goal gave Bournemouth victory, and Wilshere said: "I thought we did very well and deserved the three points. It was great at the end to be on the pitch celebrating and applauding the fans - that's what it is all about."
