Michael Keane an Everton transfer target, says Ronald Koeman

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed his interest in Burnley defender Michael Keane.

The 24-year-old centre-back, who was called up to the senior England squad for the first time in October, has impressed for Burnley this season.

On the eve of Deadline Day, Koeman told a press conference he is on the list with a number of other defenders, while Keane is also on the list of several other clubs.

"Yes, he is one of that list, like some more defenders. But I heard he is on more lists, in different teams," the Dutchman said.

Everton are among several clubs to have been reportedly interested in Manchester United winger Ashley Young.

But when that name was put to him, Koeman firmly stated the 31-year-old was "not on the list."
