Terry Gibson expects Isco to be on the move this summer, claiming a player of his quality is being wasted at Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old has spent much of this season on the periphery of Zinedine Zidane's thoughts, starting just 11 league games for the current La Liga leaders.
Unable to dislodge the likes of Luka Modric and Casemiro in Zidane's preferred XI, Isco has been hotly tipped with a summer move away from Bernabeu.
And, speaking on the La Liga Weekly podcast, Gibson backed the Spaniard to go and fulfil his aspirations of playing week in, week out for one of Europe's elite clubs.
"Isco is a super player," he said. "I can't imagine Isco being at Real Madrid next season because he's too good to be wasted.
"I know he is arguably at the biggest club in the world but when push comes to shove with these players at Real Madrid they just about accept the rotation so long as they get enough playing time.
"But the problem, which has also been a problem in recent seasons at Barcelona, is when the big games come and the preferred starting XI is chosen, leaving the likes of Isco out of the team. That's the reality.
"They are the games you want to be involved in, you don't want to be playing at home against Granada when five or six first-choice players have been rested, or coming on a substitute against Villarreal when Real are chasing the game.
"You want to be starting a Champions League final, an El Clasico and Madrid derbies. When you are not selected, that is when you're faced with the reality that, if there are no injuries, you won't take part.
"Given his age, Isco should be starting for a significant European club in big games."
Before that discussion, Gibson focused on the growing calls from Real fans for Zidane to replace Karim Benzema with the more prolific Alvaro Morata in his starting line-up.
The 24-year-old came off the bench to score the winner in Real's dramatic 3-2 victory at Villarreal on Sunday, and Sky Sports' Spanish football expert believes the time has come for Morata to start.
"Benzema isn't that bad, he is still a good player and he is still playing well," he added. But Morata is scoring more goals at the moment in time.
"If I were Zidane, I would change them and start with Morata. I would have a straight fight between the two of them and, at the moment, Morata deserves to be playing ahead of Benzema.
"That could change down the line if Benzema is coming off the bench, having an impact and scoring goals and Morata isn't playing to his full capability.
"There should certainly be more of a contest between the two of them for the starting berth. Benzema is a good player but Morata is the long-term No. 1 choice because there's a five-year age difference between the two strikers.
"Centre-forwards at the level Real Madrid want are hard to come by, they have two.
"Morata is obviously younger and it is tough on Benzema, but there's an argument he could come on later in games when defenders a tired."
