Carlisle are showing strong interest in signing Brentford goalkeeper Jack Bonham on loan for next season, according to Sky sources.

The Cumbrians are understood to be among five clubs keen on the 23-year-old along with Wycombe, Swindon, Port Vale and Bristol Rovers.

Rovers tried to sign Bonham - deputy to the Bees' first choice Daniel Bentley - in January but a deal never materialised.

Bonham is about to enter the final year of his contract and Brentford have agreed to let him go on loan to get more games.
