Sheffield United are in talks with Watford over the loan signing of forward Jerome Sinclair, Sky sources understand.
The Blades, who completed the loan signing of Tottenham youngster Cameron Carter-Vickers on Thursday, are understood to be confident of fending off competition from other Championship sides to land the Birmingham-born striker.
Sinclair has made seven appearances for Watford since joining the club from Liverpool last summer and spent the second half of last season on loan at Birmingham where he managed three starts for the Championship side.
The 20-year-old came through West Brom's academy before joining Liverpool's youth setup in 2011. He made five appearances for Liverpool's first team and remains the club's youngest-ever player after making his Reds debut against West Brom in 2012, aged 16 years and six days.
Sinclair was a regular feature for Watford boss Marco Silva in pre-season but now appears to have been given the green light to continue his development on loan in the Sky Bet Championship next season.
