Anders Lindegaard is set to undergo a medical at West Bromwich Albion on Monday ahead of a free transfer to The Hawthorns, according to Sky sources.

The 31-year-old has been made surplus to requirements by United manager Louis van Gaal and has been allowed to travel to the midlands to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms with a view to joining the Baggies.

Lindegaard joined United from Danish club Aalesund in 2010, but struggled to establish himself under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes and Van Gaal.

During his five years with United, the Denmark international made just 29 appearances for the club.

If he successfully passes his medical and agrees personal terms, Lindegaard will become Tony Pulis' seventh signing of the summer transfer window and will compete with Boaz Myhill and Ben Foster - currently sidelined by injury - for the No.1 jersey.
