Richard Harper is weighing up options at a more suitable level for long-standing maiden Gray Wolf River.
After making the headlines when running the six-year-old in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton Park on Boxing Day, the King's Sutton-handler will drop the mare down in class as she bids to strike at the 15th time of asking.
Following her ambitious run in Grade One company, plans are now in place for the six-year-old to either contest a two-mile handicap hurdle at Fakenham on Thursday or a mares' only event at Sedgefield on Sunday.
Sent off at 100/1 at Kempton, Harper's charge picked up £2,680 for finishing last of the five starters.
Harper said: "We had a wonderful day at Kempton and everybody said well done for running her. A lot of the public came up and said well done and one or two even had a pound each-way on her.
"She came back fresh as a daisy and will now go back to the day job to try and win a little race. I was half-thinking of running her in a chase somewhere, although she is not very big she has won a point-to-point.
"It is not going to be easy finding a race for her to win, but she does not lack speed and jumps well and seems in good form, so we live in hope."
