Aidan O'Brien plans to give Gustav Klimt a short break before preparing him for a first shot at top-level company in the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes.
The Ballydoyle handler has earmarked the seven-furlong contest at the Curragh on September 10 as the most likely target for the two-year-old, who is favourite for next year's Qipco 2000 Guineas.
After opening his account on his second start at the County Kildare track, the son of Galileo followed up at Newmarket last Saturday when overcoming trouble in running to land the Group Two Superlative Stakes.
O'Brien said: "We were very happy with him. He went there for experience. He had a nice run first time, then he won his maiden at the Curragh.
"He would have learned a lot the last day, travelling over. He had to quicken and come through, as he didn't get a clear run.
"Often it is a very good for the horse to experience all that stuff and learn a lot in a short space of time.
"The plan is that he might have an easy time, then train him for the National Stakes."
