Dan Skelton was delighted to see Willow's Saviour come out of his reappearance win with no after affects.
The 2013 Ladbroke Hurdle winner ran for the first time since that race last week, making his chasing debut in a warm heat at Warwick.
He showed the engine remains firmly in place with a striking display, jumping slickly in the process, and Skelton is now aiming him at the Grade One Henry VIII Novices' Chase at Sandown.
"He came out of it absolutely fine, which is just as important as him winning to me," said Skelton.
"It's fantastic to have him back and if we have a clear run with him between now and Sandown, it will be the Henry VIII next and whatever will be will be.
"I think you may as well go for these good races if you win first time out because the novice chase division is so strong and you could bump into another horse as good as Aso but with a 7lb penalty, so you may as well go somewhere with better prize money off level weights.
"No matter what they show you at home, you always need to see them do it on the track and thankfully he's shown he retains all his ability."
