Verdict

The perceived dominance of Irish-trained runners in bumpers could be under threat in this mares’ Grade 2 as Kateira was impressive at Huntingdon in February when beating the more-experienced Kalelula by five lengths. Collateral form gives her the beating of Roc Of Dundee. Naughtinesse was always travelling well when scoring at Fairyhouse, however, and Willie Mullins’ Ashroe Diamond was only beaten half-a-length in a Leopardstown Grade 2 last time. ILIADE ALLEN has changed stables since second in a Listed race at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day. The winner was an honourable sixth in last month’s Champion Bumper and four-year-olds are still getting a hefty weight-for-age allowance at this time of year. Another youngster, Rosy Redrum, is also worth a second look as the winner got first run on her at Newbury.
