Verdict

Village Vic has made giant strides this season and can be excused his latest run in the Ryanair as he couldn't get his own way out in front. He should be out of trouble on the pace here and can give supporters a run for their money. Bishops Road didn't get in the Grand National and bids for compensation in this. He'll love conditions but may find this trip on the short side nowadays. Killer Crow last ran in the Irish National and also drops in distance but he was second at Leopardstown over this trip earlier so comes into contention. Blood Cotil is useful on his day and could outshine stablemate Turban but this looks a big ask for the maiden As De Mee, who was beaten by Cocktails At Dawn on the same terms at Chepstow in the autumn. BENNYS MIST has plenty going for him, not least victory in the Grand Sefton over the National fences in December. He's been placed since in tough handicaps and can gain compensation for an unlucky run in this last year. Fairy Rath and Rathlin were second and third 12 months ago but the going was a bit quicker that day. Minella Reception has been in good form on soft going lately but was behind the selection at Ascot in January on better terms.
