Verdict

Lady Karinga had her problems last season but made an impressive reappearance at Newton Abbot last month and is probably capable of further progress. Diddley Dee has proved most consistent on quicker ground but may be vulnerable under today's conditions, while the front-running Scotswell came unstuck at Sedgefield last time and may be in the handicapper's grip now. Sound Stage might need this so we're coming down on the side of FILL THE POWER, who will have no problem with this longer trip judged on the way he charged up the Hexham hill two weeks ago. That was a big step up on previous efforts and he may have more to offer.
