In depth

Verdict

Tarvini is doing a wonderful job educating the young riders at Jackdaws Castle and Jack Savage is seeking a hat-trick on the nine-year-old. Hartforth and Playhara made great strides last season but Harry The Viking became disappointing and has changed stables. Possol is a bit one-paced but Mawaqeet is interesting near the foot of the weights and Kilfinichen Bay has won his last four, though steps up in grade here. PARISH BUSINESS also has to step up on his victory at Chepstow to come out on top here but that's not beyond the realms of possibility as he's only had three runs over timber so far and his stable has started to find its stride over the last couple of weeks. The Road Ahead is a previous course winner but has had a break since finishing behind Playhara here in June.
