Verdict

Midnight Shot was possibly a bit unlucky on debut at Market Rasen as he had to be switched around horses to get a run and was only worn down close home. Echo Springs made a winning debut here in May but this is a much stronger contest and Father Edward weakened quickly at Fontwell last time having looked all over the winner turning for home. GREAT TRY had little to beat at Southwell in February but did the job with the minimum of fuss despite negative market vibes. He's preferred to Roscommon winner Red Spinner and the maidens Globalisation and Shotofwine.
