Verdict

A trappy contest gets proceedings underway but something has to win and the principals look to be Counting House, Alsadda and Hot Zone and the narrow vote is given to Counting House. The selection looked a horse to follow when second on his debut but has since disappointed. However this is the first time since he has had his favoured fast ground and he is given one last chance to get his head in front. Alsadda rates the main danger as he had every chance until falling behind Deep Purple last time out. That form looks solid and if his jumping holds up he will not be far away. Hot Zone is another worthy of respect on his latest third behind Platin Grounds but he is more exposed than most and his overall profile leaves him with a little to find. Of the remainder Phar Again showed promise on his debut and could improve but for the winner we return to Counting House who looks to have plenty going for him today.
