Most of these have met before and Ekhtiyaar finished ahead of stablemate and subsequent Yarmouth winner Victory Angel when scoring at Newmarket in July with Bacchus also behind. The latter went on to beat Merlin and Silent Echo when scoring at HQ but ULTIMATE AVENUE was less than a length behind Ekhtiyaar and re-opposes on better terms today. Ed Walker’s colt gets the nod but yet another Newmarket winner in The Feathered Nest is not out of this either on his defeat of Bacchus, Nobly Born and Waqaas. The progressive Dark Power failed to land a hat-trick last time but is not easily written off on today’s faster going.
