Verdict

Vallarta went close on his debut at Goodwood but was a big disappointment when odds-on at Salisbury last month and has a bit to prove now. Millers Wharf already looks exposed and jockey bookings suggest Burlesdon may by the stable pick here but he's just one of a raft of potentially smart newcomers. Tawhid represents Godolphin while Sir Michael Stoute's Telescope still holds an entry in the Racing Post Trophy though, along with Meshardal and Snow King, he'll probably do better over middle-distances as a three-year-old. ELKAAYED is from a successful US family and has multiple Group 1 entries this autumn. Roger Varian's colt would have to go close in this to justify the hype
