Above Limits ran a blinder against her elders at Doncaster whilst Our Jonathan is better than the bare form of his run at the same venue but this may go the way of Irish raider SOLE POWER. He may still be a maiden but the two in front of him on debut have both made their mark in Black Type races whilst he was unfortunate to bump into the talented Artic on his next outing. He was stepped up to six furlongs for his third outing at York where he ran creditably in a valuable sales race despite meeting interference. He has enough speed to cope with the shorter trip and can make his mark at this level. Above Limits ran an extraordinary race at Doncaster when behind Strike The Deal and Spin Cycle who both won their next starts with the former getting the better of Abbaye hero Total Gallery. However, she did receive plenty of weight and the run may have taken a lot out of her. Our Jonathan missed the break badly at Doncaster but made up plenty of ground to finish on the heels of Bould Mover, Piccadilly Filly and Star Rover and he should be able to finish in front of that trio if he can avoid a repeat of those antics. Taajub drops back to the minimum for the first time having finished second in the Gimcrack and a sales race at Doncaster but it may suit as he has shown plenty of speed. Iver Bridge Lad may not have been suited by the demands of Chester last time and can be given a squeak on his best form but there's plenty to like about Sole Power.
