Verdict

Cloudy Glen too advantage of a lenient mark to win at Haydock and Chepstow around the turn of the year but the handicapper may have reeled him in with a 12lb rise. Darling Maltaix failed to cope with a similar hike in the Lanzarote at Kempton having hosed up here previously. BALLYANDY (NAP) and Sussex Ranger have both been diverted from the rearranged Betfair Hurdle later on the card to run in this. The pair will be better suited by this trip and the top weight looked back to his best at Uttoxeter last month so is taken to show his class again. Air Horse One also looked on the way back last time at Taunton but Fontwell scorer Umndeni may struggle to dominate this useful opposition.
