A good quality renewal of the Jersey Stakes can go to Auditorium, who is fancied to banish the memory of his poor reappearance effort and reverse Newmarket form with Cartography and Fokine, who is very much respected but hails from a yard that are under a cloud at the moment. There are numerous other dangers in the race though, and the likes of Leitrim House and Mukafeh are just two that are likely to spearhead the challenge represented by the rest. The latter particularly makes plenty of appeal and he is sure to be involved in the shake-up if he repeats his latest effort - where Psychiatrist was well held in arrears. Leitrim House, on the other hand, has a Group 3 penalty to deal with and could struggle as a result. That said, he does hold Aidan O'Brien's representative, Grand Reward, and is no forlorn hope of granting Brian Meehan his third Royal Ascot winner if he gets the breaks in running. In contrast, Kheleyf and Cartography hail from a yard that have a 13% strike-rate from the last five years with Royal runners and both have to be respected accordingly. The last named created a favourable impression on his first start for Godolphin but will struggle to dominate in this company and may even better over a slightly shorted trip. While Kheleyf has always had a loftier reputation that he has deserved so far and has to prove that he has trained on into his three-year-old campaign especially when last season's Middle Park Stakes form is factored in. Which brings us back to Auditorium, who ran a career best when finishing a close up third to the top-class Balmont. The ground is not an issue with the son of Royal Applause, who has a cracking chance to prove that this intermediate trip suits him ideally now that he has a seasonal run already behind him. Fokine does pose a very big threat but Barry Hills has an appalling record for such a high profile trainer at this meeting, so he in turn is opposed with Auditorium this time around.
