In depth

Verdict

An interesting little opener here with shortlist material comprising of The Hollow Bottom, In His Dreams, Hold That Thought and The King Of Angels, and we take Hold That Thought to prevail. The selection has been brought along patiently by Henrietta Knight and she began to see the benefit of that with by far his best effort last time. That four length second to Vinando over a similar trip to this and in maiden company should have the gelding spot on for this, and he can score. The Hollow Bottom got off the mark with a Ludlow bumper win at the first time of asking but perhaps needed the run when stepped up in trip on his return. he should go better here. In His Dreams is interesting particularly with his yard in such tremendous form, and it is a fair bet that he will leave his bumper form a fair way behind now faced with obstacles, while The King Of Angels may have been the selection if he hadn't disappointed second time out. This better ground should help him again and he won't be far away, but we prefer Hold That Thought.
