In depth

Verdict

Fly Du Charmil, already successful in a point-to-point and a bumper, and winning pointer Valhalla, are very much potential flies in the ointment in this opener as both are totally unexposed. He's A Charmer has twice finished second here over shorter trips while King Kayf found only one too good at Leicester last month. KERROW didn't manage to win a bumper but always looked likely to do better when going hurdling and shaped with definite promise at Ludlow last month. He stayed on strongly in the closing stages and this stiffer track should suit. Western Cape and Mad About The Boy still have scope and may be best of the rest.
