In depth

Verdict

The Boss's Dream finally got off the mark in a handicap at Plumpton last month but faces a stiff task here over a shorter trip giving weight to some potentially nice types. American can be forgiven his run at Aintree as he got lit up chasing a free going leader. Ephraim was a very decent sort on the Flat in Germany up to 2m, winning a Group 3 in May. Label Des Obeaux was third in a Listed handicap at Auteuil in April when last seen but ex pointer Neumond may do better when going chasing. RED HANRAHAN (NAP) would have won easily at Wetherby on his hurdling debut had he not fallen three out. He was cantering and pulling clear of an odds on favourite at the time and compensation awaits.
