Verdict

WINTER is bidding to emulate Attraction by winning this race and both the 1000 Guineas and the Irish equivalent in the same season. Her performances so far suggest there is more improvement to come and it’s hard to see anything standing in the way of the Ballydoyle filly here. French 1000 Guineas winner Precieuse, who was impressive on her step up to a mile, would appear to be the main danger, while the lightly-raced Dabyah, who won the Fred Darling at Newbury on her seasonal reappearance also has the ability to push the favourite close. Tomyris has shaped with some promise in both wins this season though the form of those races leaves her some way short of the required class while Aidan O’Brien's others runners,Roly Poly and Hydrangea, were brushed aside by Winter in the Irish 1000 Guineas and won’t be reversing the form here on that evidence. American raider La Coronel is a Grade 3 winner back home but also has plenty to find in this company.
