In depth

Verdict

September quickened nicely and pulled well clear of more experienced rivals on debut at Leopardstown. She has a Group 1 entry later in the season and will almost certainly start favourite against the boys here - her stable has already won this three times, including with Churchill last year. Nyaleti ran on strongly when making a winning start over 6f at Salisbury and is another promising filly but MASAR impressed with his attitude when overcoming trouble in-running to make a successful debut at Goodwood when Bartholomeu Dias was third. Fourth Folk Tale has won since to frank the form and the extra furlong will suit on breeding. Westerland landed the odds at Leicester last month but only just beat Hey Gaman, who was having his first run and may have more scope, though both are drawn on the opposite side to the likely market leaders.
