ALANBROOKE can continue to make hay now that connections have found the key to him. Hendersyde and Darley Sun may emerge as the main threats. The selection went into many a notebook after two good runs at two and was a short price for his reappearance when a shade unfortunate not to score. He then ran two poor races before connections slapped a pair of blinkers on and stepped him up in trip and it has proved to be the making of him. He's not seen a rival in either start and may still be able to shrug off the 10lb rise that he's been handed for his latest success. Hendersyde was a strong fancy for the Northumberland Plate where he ran a decent race considering that he raced further back in the field than those who finished in front of him. He, too, is a progressive stayer and the handicapper has taken a chance in leaving his mark unchanged. Highland Legacy has a bit to prove but Ermine Sea ran better than the form suggests when last seen and is capable of having a say in the outcome. Gordonsville may be able to pick up some prize money but Darley Sun could pose more of a threat to the principals if he gets a decent gallop which looks likely given the way that the selection, Alanbrooke, has gone about his work of late.
