Unless one of the newcomers turns out to be above average, MALABAR looks the one to beat. She made a late surge to take fourth in the Albany Stakes over 6f here last month and should prove suited by this extra furlong. Crystal Malt stayed today's trip well enough when runner-up at Doncaster earlier and makes more appeal than both Jillanar and Rosie Royale.
