Verdict

Atty Persse won the King George V handicap over track and trip last summer when beating another Godolphin runner and today’s rival First Nation. The former should be sharper for a recent comeback at Haydock but the latter is having his first start of the year. Soft ground was a legitimate excuse for a below par effort by BANDITRY at Epsom last time but he’d gone close in a competitive handicap at York before that and Ryan Moore’s presence suggests a similar effort is expected today. Austrian School has been thereabouts since landing a double back in May while Kelly's Dino was placed in France last time and Great Hall continues to struggle.
