    In depth

    Verdict

Whispering Death will be suited by the ground if it drys up a little, however with the Cesarewitch his main target he may be best left alone today, so the vote goes to Samurai Way ahead of Kasthari and Full House. The selection has possibly been a little unlucky in his races this year as he has not always had luck in running. However he stays very well and effective on any ground, he can land his second win of the season now stepped up to this trip. Full House, along with Whispering Death would arguably prefer a slightly larger field to ensure that the race is run at a quick gallop, however he still remains a threat. Prince Zafonic is very consistent but faces a tough task from out of the weights, so of more interest is Velvet Heights who stays well and should go well, although his wins have mainly come on the all-weather. Gee Dee Nen represents a trainer in top form, whilst Kasthari, the winner of the 2004 Doncaster Cup has shown that he retains plenty of ability of late. At a price Midas Way could surprise a few, however it is Samurai Way who gets the nod.
