In depth

Formwatch

County Derry Has completed a hat trick between the flags recently and making debut under rules today.

Fair Wind (IRE) Second to a useful horse at Larkhill last time and making debut under rules. One to note, but ability to handle this ground is a slight concern.

Greenwich Poor hurdler and hasn't shown much in a couple of similar races this season.

Itsforu Third in similar race at Cheltenham last year but recent form not too inspiring.

Kincora (IRE) Form in point-to-points and hunter chases does not look good enough to feature here.

Minella Silver (IRE) Formerly a useful sort in Ireland and has won both starts in points this year. Handles this surface and looks the one they all have to beat.

Mr Smudge moderate sort, pulled up both starts under rules this season and hard to fancy this time.

One of The Natives (IRE) Successful in both starts between the flags this season and has progressed really well. Serious claims on debut under rules.

Possible Pardon (NZ) Reasonable point-to-point form and fair sceond at Plumpton last time. reproduction of that could see him reach the frame at least.

The Headman (IRE) Has some fair form in this type of race, including when placed at Kempton last month, but chance would be better on a faster surface.

The Hobbit (IRE) Fair third at Chepstow last year but little signs of encouragement in recent point-to-points and probably best watched today.

Track O' Profit (IRE) Consistent sort who is usually thereabouts but tends to find one or two too good, and a place may be a realistic target again.today

Wibbley Wobbley Has certainly won his share of point-to-points and although this is a step up in class, but he cannot be entirely ruled out.

Moonlighter Form does not look good enough to play a leading role in this.

Polly Live Wire Looks quite exposed and one to cross off the list.

Secret Truth Usually fails to complete and that looks likely again today in these conditions.

Fate A Compli (IRE) Only six and won both points this year. Plenty of scope and one for the shortlist.

Jo Jos Best Friend Fair form in point-to-points but has been absent for nearly a year and faces a fairly stiff task on return.
