        Verdict

        Maggies Passion was engaged in the 2.30 at Catterick yesterday. Richard Fahey has been going through a quiet spell but there have been signs of a revival recently and Firewater didn't run badly in a better nursery at Thirsk. However, Paul Hanagan prefers Jazz Hands, who has been unplaced in all seven starts though should be suited by stepping up in trip. Ugo Gregory never got going at Beverley though wasn't beaten all that far while Brambling, beaten a long way in a Ripon seller, did much better on Tapeta at Newcastle last weekend. LAOISE was claimed from the Hannon yard after beaten narrowly in a Leicester seller. This isn't much better and new connections can get an instant return on their investment.
