Verdict

Phil Dennis steered Miningrocks to a comfortable heavy ground success over this trip at Leicester recently and it would not be a surprise should Declan Carroll's charge supplement gains off a 5lb higher mark. However, this is the time of year when three-year-olds take on their elders with greater regularity and success so L'APOGEE makes considerable appeal. The Fahey gelding ran a solid race in a similar contest last time, will appreciate the extra furlong and has more room for improvement than most after just six career starts. With over half the field out of the handicap, little else makes too much appeal although Latin Rebel is of interest if ready to roll after a break and Bushtiger may possibly improve for the step up in trip.
